ROSEAU — Alex Ziegler scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter as the Roseau Rams rallied for a 24-21 win over the Staples-Motley Cardinals in a Heart O’Lakes Conference game Saturday.
Short touchdown runs by Kyle Jansson and Mike Beach helped S-M to a 14-8 halftime lead.
Roseau’s Jacob Eaton scored on a pass from Ziegler in the third and the Rams scored on a 2-point conversion for a 16-14 edge.
Jansson’s 53-yard run, and Jordan Wick’s kick, put S-M on top 21-16 before Ziegler denied the Cardinals their first win of the season.
