PINE RIVER — Tyler Tappe dominated in the backfield for Pequot Lakes, scoring three times and gaining 187 yards on 23 carries as the Patriots defeated Crookston 34-20 Friday in Heart O’Lakes Conference play.
The win halted the Patriots four game skid.
Jordan Redmond performed well for Pequot Lakes despite the weather completing 10 of 21 passes for 137 yards, and two touchdowns.
