WADENA — The Little Falls Flyers girls placed four runners in the top five, including first-place Mattia Hendrickson, to win the Wadena-Deer Creek Invitational Tuesday.
The boys meet was won by Perham, which had six runners place in the top seven, including individual winner Keeghan Hurley.
Hendrickson was followed by teammates Chelsea Rutz (3rd), Laura Moe (4th) and Heidi Moe (5th).
Matthew Massmann from Little Falls was the top area boys runner in eighth place and Korey Zetah paced Staples-Motley with a 10th-place finish. The Flyers were second and the Cardinals fifth.
Matt Neururer was 19th for the Pillager Huskies, who ran only three runners.
Tiana Eng set the pace for the Pillager girls, coming in 13th. Emma Schmitz led Wadena-Deer Creek with a 15th-place finish. Haley Christoffersen finished 28th for Staples-Motley.
