Maggie Heggerston carded a three-over 75 to win the Minnesota Section PGA Junior Players’ Tour Series A5 event July 20 at Moorhead Country Club.
Heggerston fired nines of 38-37 to top Kate Smith by one stroke.
Emily Israelson of Staples-Motley finished tied for fourth with a 79 and Heggerston’s high school teammate Savannah Stone was ninth with an 83.

Israelson stands in 10th place after a win at Northland, a tie or seventh at The Pines at Grand View Lodge and her tie for fourth at Moorhead.
On the boys side, Andrew Israelson stands in 14th place for the Player of the Year award. In five events, he’s gained 275 points. He scored a tie for fourth at the two-day Greystone event and a tie for seventh at Moorhead.
