Cragun’s set to host annual U of M events Thursday and Friday
Cragun’s Legacy Courses on Gull Lake in Brainerd will host their 12th annual University of Minnesota Golf Event Thursday and Friday.
The event is a fundraiser benefiting the Golden Gopher Fund.
The event consists of a dinner Thursday, June 28, followed by an 18-hole shotgun tournament Friday, June 29.
Tentatively scheduled to appear at the Thursday dinner are retiring athletic director Joel Maturi, head football coach Jerry Kill, new athletic director Norwood Teague, women’s basketball head coach Pam Borton and head softball coach Jessica Allister.
“This is one of the most popular and rewarding golf events we’re proud to host each year,” Dutch Cragun said in a news release. “The tournament is for anybody who is interested in helping the U of M Golden Gopher Fund, whether you are a golfer or not.
“We offer the coaches’ dinner Thursday evening, which includes dinner, reception and silent auction, and would be perfect for the golfer or non-golfer. University of Minnesota alumni and all Gopher fans are welcome.”
Cost to attend the dinner only is $25. Cost for dinner and golf is $125 per person.
