Skogen’s hit helps Bees down Greys
Patrick Skogen’s 2-run single in the bottom of the eighth snapped a 4-4 tie and vaulted the Brainerd Bees to a 6-4 win over the Granite City Greys in a Lakewood League game Sunday at Adamson Field.
Skogen finished 3-5 as the Bees improved to 7-4 overall.
Burrell Flanagan got the win, pitching the last three innings. He struck out one, walked one, and gave up four hits.
Starter Blake Eller went six innings, with six strikeouts and six walks. He gave up three hits and four earned runs.
Kyle Crocker added an RBI double and Mark Ortega a sacrifice fly for the Bees, who scored two runs on wild pitches.
