PEQUOT LAKES — Nick Greiner went 2-3 with an RBI and pitched the Pequot Lakes Patriots to a 6-2 non-conference win over the Aitkin Gobblers Thursday.
Zach Cogan hit a two-run double for the Patriots.
Aitkin’s Peter Zasmeta finished 2-4 with a triple and an RBI. Nathan Ehnstrom went 2-3 and Ben Peterson drove in a run.

MILACA — Kyle Boser earned his first varsity victory in impressive fashion Tuesday.
The sophomore struck out five and allowed one hit and three walks over five innings in his varsity debut to power the Little Falls Flyers to a 10-0 Granite Ridge Conference win.
Class 2A’s top-ranked Flyers (17-0) saw Joey Hanowski finish 2-3 with a triple. Matt Valentine went 1-2 with a triple and Spencer Fenske was 1-3 with a double.
Boser also impressed at the plate as he drove in four runs and was 1-3 with a double.
The victory gives Little Falls a share of the conference title with a key matchup Saturday against defending state champion St. Cloud Cathedral.

ROCKFORD — The Pierz Pioneers won Game One, but lost to Rockford in Game Two of Thursday’s Central Minnesota Conference doubleheader.
Nick Lochner hit a two-run double in the sixth inning as the Pioneers won 3-2.
Lochner had the lone Pierz hit in a 16-2 Game Two loss.

PILLAGER — Sebeka’s Taylor Carlson was one error away from a perfect game as he pitched the Trojans to a 9-0 Park Region Conference victory over Pillager Tuesday.

LAPORTE — Sophomore Anthony Phillipson improved his record to 5-0 as he led the Pine River-Backus Tigers to an 18-2 Northland Conference win over Laport Thursday.
Phillipson struck out seven, walked one and gave up three hits in four innings. He was 2-3 at the plate with a double.
Nathan Holm went 3-5 with a double and Russ Burgoyne also doubled.

BATTLE LAKE — Devon White took the squeeze out of a called suicide squeeze and simply stole home leading the Staples-Motley Cardinals to a 8-7 non-conference win over the Ottertail Central Bulldogs Thursday.
White then pitched the bottom half of the seventh to get the win.
S-M’s Jordan Jenkins was 3-4 with a run. Jalen Busker was 2-4 with two RBIs. Kyle Jansson went 2-3 with a run and an RBI. Jordan Wick finished 2-4 with two runs and Brent Sterriker was 2-4 with two RBIs.
OTC’s Vinny Otake led the Bulldogs by going 3-4 with two runs, a triple, a home run and three RBIs.
