SAUK RAPIDS — Luke Patron limited Sauk Rapids-Rice to four hits in a 7-0 shutout of the Storm in a Central Lakes Conference game Monday.

The junior righthander went six innings, walked four and struck out two. Jagr Hanson finished, walking two and striking out one in the last inning.

Blake Thiesse went 2-3 with two doubles, two runs, an RBI and two walks.

Ben Stall was 2-3 and Drew Sannes and Mitch McLain were both 1-4 with two RBIs.

“We walked eight times and got hit three times,” Warriors coach Lowell Scearcy said. “It was a tough day to pitch, and Patron did a really good job.”

Sannes is the scheduled starter when Brainerd plays at Fergus Falls on Tuesday.
