Greg Johnson recorded the season’s first hole-in-one in the Brainerd lakes area when he aced the 205-yard third hole at Eagles Landing March 16 using a 3-iron. Dave Pelowski witnessed the feat.
Two days later, Ken Thomas aced the 155-yard fourth hole of Crosswoods Golf Course in Crosslake using an 8-iron. Paul Bloom, Thor Thorson and Tim Thorson witnessed Thomas’ first ever ace.
Eagles Landing and Crosswoods are a few of the area courses already open with most others opening by the end of March or early April.
