Crosby-Ironton graduate Bryce Tesdahl of Bemidji State University was named to the winter NSIC All-Academic Team and the Daktronics All-Central Region second team.
To be eligible for the academic team, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.20, be a member of a varsity traveling team and have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institution with one full year completed at that campus.
Tesdahl averaged 32.3 minutes, 3.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 7.4 points. He shot .421 from the field, .447 from 3-point, .754 at the foul line.
BSU made the second NCAA Division II tournament appearance in program history March 10 as it ended with a 77-72 loss to St. Cloud State in Golden, Colo. The Beavers finished with a record-breaking number of wins and an overall record of 22-9. BSU’s 16-6 conference record was also a team record for wins and earned it the NSIC championship.
