Girls Basketball: Warriors' season ended by Buffalo

BUFFALO — The eighth-seeded Brainerd Warriors saw their season come to an end with a 57-40 loss to the top-seeded Buffalo Bison in the Section 8-4A quarterfinals Thursday.

Kayla Kraemer and McKenzie Veith led the Warrior with seven points apiece.

Brainerd finished the year 5-18 after losing their final four games. They lost 66-49 to Buffalo on Feb. 11.

The Bison were led by Alexa Thielman’s 17 points and advanced to the semifinals with a 23-4 record.

Erica Trafas 2, Maria West 6, Taylor Johnshoy 4, Kayla Kraemer 7, Chloe Miller 4, McKenzie Veith 7. FG 14-35 (40 percent), FT 9-10 (90 percent), 3-point basket: 1-9 (11 percent). Brainerd finishes 5-18.
