Area Girls Basketball: Lueck, Miron have big games in Mid-State shootout

PEQUOT LAKES — Mattie Lueck poured in 34 points to lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots to their fourth straight, an 80-69 victory over the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines in a Mid-State Conference game that ended the regular season for both teams Friday.

Lueck also pulled down eight rebounds and added eight assists, while Kayla Miller added 15 points and Vanessa Lane 12 for the Patriots.

Emily Miron notched 37 points for the Wolverines, who have won five of their last six games. Caitlin Volkmann added 17 points and Avery Jackson 12 for the Wolverines.

Emily Beltran added 14 points and eight assists, followed by Marlee Moore with 10 points and 12 rebounds and Autumn Martin who pulled down nine rebounds for the Hornets.
