Flyers win first section championship in six years
Pins in the last four weight classes helped the top-seeded Little Falls Flyers capture the Section 8-3A team championship with a 46-24 win over No. 2 St. Cloud Apollo Saturday night at Brainerd High School.
Trailing 24-22, the Flyers received pins from Adam Grams (182), Trysten Ross (195), Joe Reis (220) and Conor Swanson (285) to wrap up their first section title since 2006.
Little Falls advances to the 3A state team tournament March 1-3 at the Xel Energy Center in St. Paul.
