BOWLING: Four honor scores rolled in city tournament

The Brainerd/Baxter City Tournament kicked off its team event earlier this month at Jack’s House.

In the team tournament, four honor scores were rolled:

• Randy Sam of the Green Lantern rolled 11 strikes in a row for a 279 game and 682 series Feb. 6.

• Doug Oehrlein of the Kenny Goochey Construction team rolled 11 strikes in a row for a 299 game. It was his first honor score Feb. 7.

• Also on Feb. 7, Darrel Johnson of the Commander Bar team rolled a 300 game and 771 series. It was his 12th perfect game.

• Mike Almer of the SMA Insurance team rolled a 300 game and 726 series Feb. 8. It was his fifth 300.

Singles and doubles competition continued the weekend of Feb. 11-12 and will resume Saturday and Sunday.
