HOWARD LAKE — The Pierz Pioneers finished their dual meet season with a 23-4 record by defeating Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa 39-25 and Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 38-37 in Thursday’s triangular.
Trent Davis registered a pair of first-period pins at 152 pounds for the Pioneers.
Against HL-W-W, the Pioneers led 37-7 before forfeiting the final five matches for a 37-37 tie, but won the match on the 10th criteria.

PINE CITY — The Aitkin Gobblers defeated Hinckley-Finlayson/Pine City/East Central 49-22 Thursday to win the Great River Conference dual meet title.
The 12-4 Gobblers have won five of their last six dual meets and finish 5-0 in the GRC.
Jordan Chouanard remained undefeated (28-0) after pinning Joe Favorito at 152 in 1:11. Chouanard was the only pin of the night for the Gobblers, who took advantage of five forfeits.
