MILACA — Matt Valentine scored 30 points, leading the Little Falls Flyers to their first victory in four games, as they handed the Milaca Wolves an 84-63 defeat in a Granite Ridge Conference game Thursday.

Brandon Kiel led the Wolves, who lost their ninth consecutive game, with 21 points.

AITKIN — Alex Anderson led all scorers with 17 points as the Aitkin Gobblers defeated the Isle Huskies 58-49 in a Great River Conference game Thursday.

Aitkin snapped a four-game losing streak and avenged a 58-51 Jan. 10 loss to the Huskies.

Nathan Ehnstrom added 15 and Jared Brezinsky 11 for the 7-11 Gobblers.

PIERZ — The Pierz Pioneers, powered by the shooting of Caleb Janson and Preston Weber, won for the fourth straight time and halted Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted’s four-game win streak with a 74-63 win Thursday night in a Central Minnesota Conference game.

Janson finished with 21 points and Weber notched 20 for the Pioneers. Jess Kasper also finished in double figures for the Pioneers with 13, as did Logan Meyer with 11.
