Zean Baker, Nisswa, won the 12.5-kilometer men’s pursuit race in the National Guard Regionals last weekend at Mt. Itasca in Coleraine.
Baker shot 3,3,1,4 but finished in 40:34. Ty Hadrits, Brainerd, was second, shooting 2,4,1,3 in 44:38. Evan Ingebrigtson, Baxter, shot 2,2,1,2 and was 14th in 58:07. Josh Duda, Brainerd, shot 3,2,5,4 and was 18th in 59:28.
In the women’s 10km pursuit race, Jenna Ruzich, Baxter, was second, shooting 5, 2, 1, 3 in 46:58. She finished behind Anna Kubek, Duluth, who shot 1,1,2,0 at 37:10.
In Friday’s 10km sprint race, Duda was 10th, shooting 2,3 in 40:05. Ingebrigtson was 15th, shooting 3,3 in 43:19.
Approximately 50 National Guard members from Ohio to Washington attended the event.
