FERGUS FALLS — Riley Kline scored 15 points and Tony Sauer tallied 12, but the Brainerd Warriors dropped their second straight Central Lakes Conference contest with Saturday’s 67-57 loss to Fergus Falls.
The Warriors were without the services of Jacob Blong, Dustin Borlaug and Blake Peterson, who are all nursing injuries.
Fergus was 22-of-29 from the free throw line while Brainerd was 8-of-12.
“We played with great intensity and effort,” said Warriors head coach Scott Stanfield. “We were a little tired and we couldn’t maintain the effort throughout the game. Fergus’s Mike Millard and Matthew Suek were very physical and caused us problems. We were unable to match up with them in the post when Jagar Hanson and Marcus Comstock both got into foul trouble.”
Jack Sauer added nine points and Ian Haug contributed eight more for the 8-6 Warriors.
