Matt Pohlkamp’s penalty shot at the 9:24 mark of overtime gave the Brainerd Warriors a 3-2 Central Lakes Conference win over the Sauk Rapids Storm Thursday at Brainerd Area Civic Center.

The Warriors got a goal from Aaron Rich on an assist from Logan Rivard and Chris Pohlkamp in the first period for a 1-0 lead. Brainerd then took a 2-1 lead in the second period on a goal from Cole Smith with an assist to Mitch McLain, but the Storm tied the game up with a goal in the third period.

“We actually made it tougher than it needed to be,” said Brainerd head coach Jim Archibald. “But I was happy we could get the win.”
