Area Boys Hockey: Flyers blank Lightning for sixth straight win

BREEZY POINT — The Little Falls Flyers made it six in a row, getting goals from six different players, in their 6-0 win over the Northern Lakes Lightning in Thursday’s non-conference game.

Mitch Gregory and Luke Majerle found the net for Little Falls in the opening period.

After a scoreless second, the Flyers put the game on ice with goals in the third from Alex Nelson, Ben Newman, Joey Hanowski and Austin Bjorge.

Hanowski played a role in all four third-period goals, collecting three assists.

The Flyers outshot the Lightning 59-14 with Mike Stumpf perfect in goal for Little Falls and Joey Bergquist making 53 saves for Northern Lakes.
