Gobblers collect conference win

AITKIN — Mikayla Michaletz led all scorers with 19 points and the Aitkin Gobblers picked up their first Great River Conference win of the season by dominating Hinckley-Finlayson 80-30 Friday night.

Bailey Nordean added 16 points while Madison Newton, Emily Lundgren and Megan Welshons all finished with 10 for the Gobblers.

MINNEAPOLIS — Bethany Cressman scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help Lake Region Christian to a 40-36 win over Fourth Baptist in a Minnesota Association of Christian Schools game Friday night.

Marlee Moore scored 12 points, collected eight rebounds and blocked three shots. Autumn Martin added 10 rebounds as the Hornets improved to 5-1 overall.
