WADENA — The Staples-Motley Cardinals moved their Mid-State Conference record to 2-0 with a 79-49 victory over Wadena-Deer Creek on Tuesday night.

Jasmine McGillvray led the Cardinals with 15 points while Jaelin Beachy and Mikayla Wing each finished with 14.

For the Wolverines, Melissa Moenkedick and Courtney Dumpprope led the way with nine points.

Missy Foote contributed 12 points and 13 rebounds while Shannon Lundgren added 12 points and 11 rebounds for C-I.
