The Brainerd Warrior sophomore football team ran its record to 6-0 by defeating St. Cloud Apollo 37-6 Thursday.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Warriors scored twice at the end of the second as Mason Severson ran in from two yards and TJ Graumann scored the 2-point conversion.
On Apollo’s next possession, Chris Pohlkamp intercepted a pass and returned it for a TD. Tom Stoxen passed to Alex Evenson for the 2-point conversion.
Pohlkamp scored in the third quarter on runs of 50 and 10 yards. Logan McElfresh kicked the extra points.
McElfresh scored the Warriors’ final TD in the fourth quarter on a 23-yard run and kicked the extra point.
Brainerd had 290 yards to Apollo’s 158. The Warriors created three turnovers as Pohlkamp had two interceptions and Beau Janousek recovered a fumble.
Brainerd hosts Moorhead at 5 p.m. Thursday at Adamson Field.
