Brainerd defeated Sartell 3.5 to 1.5 Saturday at Southway Bowl in St. Cloud.
Sam Larson and Duncan Vinje led the Warriors with 92.3- and 87.5-percent fills.
In the second match, Sauk Rapids defeated Brainerd 5-0. Robert Stange led the Warriors with 81.8-percent fills.
Stange had 13 of 21 possible strikes for the day.
Brainerd travels to Milaca on Saturday to face St. Cloud Tech and a position round.
