DULUTH — Duluth starting pitcher Austin Lubinsky pitched a seven-hit complete game to lead the Huskies to victory over the Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers 2-1 Friday.
The Lunkers drew first blood in the top of the fifth when Nick Hamilton singled and scored on Wade Wass’ double.
Brainerd starting piticher Charles Henderson held the Huskies scoreless for sux innings, but gave up two singles in the seventh inning. Henderson was replaced by Tyler Sparger, who surrendered Duluth’s only runs of the game on a double by Kevin Kuntz.
