MENAHGA — Katie White struck out five, walked three and allowed eight hits and one earned run for the Pequot Lakes Patriots in a 9-4 victory over Deer River in the seventh-place game of the Menagha tournament Saturday.
Rachael Langer went 2-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run. Brook Trottier was 2-4 with two RBIs and a run and Brooke Serfling and Megan Hogen each hit a double.
Pequot fell to Pillager 1-0 in the consolation semifinals despite numerous opportunities to get the win. Kayla Miller hit a double and White struck out six, walked two and allowed the one run in the third inning.
Jamie Sewall hit a double in Pequot’s 22-0 Game One loss to Cherry.
