SNOWMOBILE RACING: Thomsen first, second in ISOC event

Cody Thomsen of Lakeshore finished first and second in the Semi Pro Super stock finals in the ISOC National at Farmington, N.Y., last weekend.

The win put Thomsen, who rides Arctic Cat, in the points lead. 

Devin Bertoch of Baxter was 10th in Saturday’s Semi Pro final on his Arctic Cat.

In Pro Super Stock, Dan Ebert of Lakeshore was fourth on an Arctic Cat and Bobby LePage of Longville was sixth on a Polaris.

In Pro Open, Ebert finished sixth and LePage 13th.

• In the ISOC Minnesota Regional event at Quadna Mountain Park in Hill City, area drivers in the winners circle included Jesse Hendrickson of Pequot Lakes, who was first Saturday and second Sunday in the Semi Pro Stock class.

Ben Lindbom of Staples was first Sunday and second Saturday in the same class on his Polaris.

Brandon Herheim of Hackensack placed first in Junior 16-17 on Saturday, second in that class Sunday and fourth in Saturday’s Sport Super Stock class Saturday on an Arctic Cat.

Ryan Trout of Browerville won the Junior 10-13 class Saturday and placed second Sunday on his Ski-Doo.

Cody Daudt of Remer finished second Saturday and third Sunday in the Junior 14-15 class. Evan Daudt of Longville was second Sunday in that class. Tyler Daudt of Longville placed fifth in Junior 14-15 Saturday. All three Daudts ride Polaris.

• Several area riders competed in the ORA US Nationals last weekend at Oglivie Raceway. 

Jeff Schmidt of Brainerd, on a John Deere, placed third in 440 Super Stock liquid and third in Super Stock 440 fan. 

Chuck Zeck of Brainerd grabbed two seconds, a third and fourth in Friday’s Super Mod finals on a Polaris.

Travis Hilmerson of Little Falls, in the IFS Sno Pro classes, won Friday’s 250X class and was second in 340x and 440x. On Saturday he was second in 250x, third in 440x and fifth in the 440x finals on a Ski-Doo and Polaris.

• Coming up this weekend are the ISOC Nationals at Pontiac, Mich., on Saturday; the “Chase on the Lake 100” USCC Cross Country event Sunday at Walker; and the seventh annual Vintage Show, Go and Swap at the Bridge Tavern in Crosby.
