PEQUOT LAKES — Kurtis Moody scored 32 points to lead Class 2A’s fifth-ranked Pequot Lakes Patriots past the Staples-Motley Cardinals 77-61 in Tuesday’s Mid-State Conference game.
Thomas Parker added 17 and Logan Lange 11 for the 14-4 Patriots, who improved to 8-1 in conference play.
The Cardinals were led by Eli Beachy’s 20 points, which featured five 3-pointers. Tyler Glines adding 17 points and Seth Auger 11.
It was the ninth win in the last 10 games for the Patriots, who had defeated the Cardinals twice earlier.
