MOORHEAD - Five Brainerd wrestlers went unbeaten and the Warriors finished second as a team in the Ron Gadberry dual meet tournament Saturday.

Jessen Franzen (140), Mack Glasby (145) and Tyler Kohlmeier 171) all went 3-0 for the Warriors. Casey Biever was 3-0 at 189 and 215 and Jamie Wright was 2-0 at 189.

Kohlmeier improved to 22-5, Glasby 20-3 and Franzen 19-7.

Dan Babineau (125) and Nate Adams (152) both went 3-1.

In team competition, Brainerd swept its first three foes before losing to Rosemount for the championship.

"They match up real well with us," Warriors co-head coach Mike Boran said of Rosemount. "We had some fairly close matches down below that we would have liked to win. By that match we were a little rundown. We didn't wrestle real sharp the whole day but we got three wins to get through the tournament."
