Beltran, LRCS win St. Francis Classic
ST. FRANCIS - Point guard Emily Beltran was named Most Valuable Player of the St. Francis Classic as she led the Lake Region Christian Hornets to a 44-40 victory in the championship game Saturday.
Kelsey Grider made the All Tournament team for the Hornets with a three-game total of 39 points, 36 rebounds, 19 blocks and 13 steals. Teammate Bethany Cressman racked up 38 points, 38 rebounds, 15 assists, and eight steals.
The Hornets (11-0) topped Valley Christian 63-16 in the tournament opener and Prior Lake 43-15 in the semifinals.
