LITTLE FALLS - Whitney Weisz turned in a 21-point performance leading the Little Falls Flyers to a 63-47 non-conference win over the Pierz Pioneers Friday.

Paige Beseman added 15 points and Annie Ploof nine for the Flyers.

The Pioneers were led by Jamie Sczublewski's 13 points and Cassandra Banick's eight.

HINCKLEY - Meredith Chaput scored 30 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead the Aitkin Gobblers to a 74-34 win over the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars Friday in their season and Great River Conference opener.

Madison Newton added 14 and Jane Kangas 12 for the Gobblers, who led 46-13 at halftime.

HIBBING - Mattie Lueck and Emily Lueck combined for 40 points to lead the Pequot Lakes Patriots to an 83-63 win over the Hibbing Bluejackets during non-conference action Friday.

Mattie Lueck finished with 22 points, four steals and a team-high six rebounds, while Emily Lueck finished with 18 points, five assists and five steals.

Kendra Johnson added 13 points and Kylie Beltz 12 for the Patriots.
