Contemptuous

It is not our right to treat the earth as we do. Mother Nature attempted to balance out dangerously low water levels this spring with the floods (thank you global warming) and now industrialists and earth-haters are draining the river (check out Kiwanis Park) in order to build roads. We do not need more roads or tar or commercial spaces. Contemptuous to say the least. Disgraceful might also aptly describe this offense.
