More money for the police department
Have you ever noticed how many people make illegal or improper left turns? If the police department wants to start getting some money in for whatever reason, all they have to do is sit at intersections and watch people because they are constantly turning improperly. The other thing is that I believe there is some kind of law about stuff hanging from your rear view mirror. I would like to see that enforced. I just passed three people who have a bunch of junk hanging there. It must be a distraction. Police, check into it.
Stop showing favoritism
If the school is truly always looking to expand its opportunities for students that can be affordable and sustainable, they would have worked with the courses that brought in money to see how to bring in more. Instead they cut the restaurant, automotive and marketing. Stop showing favoritism to sports and look at expanding or bringing back the educational opportunities you cut.

I see cops make illegal turns and lane changes all the time. I've also on more than one occasion seen them flip their lights on to trip a light, then turn them off when they get through it. Lets see what else.. Oh yeah. Nearly every night there are Baxter officers at the 24 hour Holiday for hours at a time, with their cars running. I could probably go on but I think this pretty much sums up our little town's finest.

Do you know where they are heading when they make the fast illegal turn or the lane change? Where do you want the police to sit when they aren't on a call? If they were sitting on a side street, you'd say they were sitting for drunk drivers.
Where do you want them? At least you know where to find one when you need one.
I don't see a problem with
I don't see a problem with them scouting out drunk drivers. How many do you think get away while they're inside a Holiday or elsewhere where they can't be doing their job? And I rarely see them speed away or have their lights on when they make these illegal turns. They're just cruising around like normal. And I do know where to find one when I need one: 911. Last night in fact, there were four, four officers at a house near mine for at least an hour, all of them talking to one person. A friend of mine has a car with tinted windows, got pulled over for them, and a total of three squad cars showed up for it. There is a serious lack of either things to do for the amount of officers we have, or just common sense.

To the person disappointed that children born to parents of different names. I have been married 22 years to my daughter's father. He did not change his name either. We thought it unfair that I (we) would need to pay fees for SS cards, driver's license, professional licenses, car registrations, bank accounts and so on. Benefit of the doubt anyone?
