It’s all about timing

I’m glad the Brainerd School Board has decided not to spend good money on a bad project (fixing small, old, and inefficient) schools. However, the thought of raising school taxes by any means at this time sounds ludicrous to me. Losing $200,000 last year by not settling the teacher’s contract apparently was not enough and now they’re contemplating spending $10,000 for a school survey? I think the board members have lost touch with what’s happening financially in this area. Are you elected representatives reading our paper?  Do you understand “timing?”

Address the needs

What is it about Brainerd city government? Let’s set aside political intrigue and wounded egos and try to address the serious needs of the citizens of Brainerd. Other towns do it. Why not Brainerd?

Prefers live music

A great number of my friends and I have walked out of many bars and restaurants that choose to have other so-called entertainment or music CDs played other than live performing band. Wonder how long it will be before the owners figure this out. Live music is best. Bring it on.
