Do you believe President Obama’s new health care law, known as Obamacare, has helped or hurt you? That was a poll question put to readers of NEWSMAX – Independent. American. Seventy percent indicated that Obamacare has hurt them. Only 10 percent believe Obamacare has helped them and 18 percent have not notice a change. (Over 662,190 responded to the question.)
When readers were asked: “Overall, do you approve or disapprove of President Obama’s job performance? Eighty-three percent said they disapprove of the president’s job performance and 16 percent said they approve.
“Do you approve of his job handling the U.S. economy?” Again, 83 percent disapproved of his handling of the U.S. economy, while 16 percent thought the president is doing a good job.
A telling question was posed to those readers participating in the poll: “Do you trust President Obama? Sixteen percent said, “Yes, I trust him,” but 83 percent said, “No, I do not trust him.”
Former presidents George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter should take heart in the responses given when asked: “Compared to previous presidents, how would you rate President Obama?”
“Worse than most” was the response given by 543,337 of those polled, while 100,049 said he was “better than most” and 20,426 thought he was “average.”
A daily tracking poll conducted by Gallup Politics suggests that the president’s job approval is at 40 percent, while some 53 percent of the 1,500 national adults disapprove of the job President Obama is doing. (Only Richard Nixon recorded lower poll results in December 1973 when 30 percent of those polled said he was not doing an acceptable job as president.)
What is one to think after observing two entirely different polls with a much larger audience responding in the NEWSMAX poll?
One certainly is safe in concluding that most Americans are not pleased with, nor do they trust President Obama.
