I would like to comment on the Open Forum article by Terry Sluss on Jan. 27th.
First I was not aware that the quantity of office staff constituted representation. The representation is by the elected senator for each district.
Reference is made to an article in Friday's paper by Terry Sluss. You make reference to Senate action on day one of the current session but you fail to mention the partisan political pot stirring before the session even started this year.
Obama is the greatest man in the world. Neither you nor I believe this but telling the truth about Obama is not allowed in the Brainerd Dispatch. Too bad. The Brainerd Dispatch used to be a reliable, independent paper.
Last Friday, accusations were made that Senate Republicans have allegedly mistreated Senate Democrats by asking them to operate under a smaller budget. We took the majority because we promised smaller government to Minnesotans.
