How naive does Romney think we are? He keeps talking about how the super rich can't lose the Bush tax cuts because they are the job creators. Well, they have had this tax cut for a decade now.

Discussions surrounding ObamaCare are keeping our focus away from the real problem we all face. Like a red herring dragged across trails to lead dogs away from game, we are being led to believe the Affordable Health Care law is still open for debate.

Vote yes, on marriage amendment Vote yes! Target and J.C. Penney just lost out on any shopping I might have done at their stores. The word, marriage, at least in my dictionary is - "the union of a husband and wife" - man and woman.

The election I hear over and over again the phrase that our vote this fall will not be so much a vote for Romney but a vote against Obama. Reading between the lines this says to me that it is a vote for the lesser of two evils.

Last Tuesday’s (Crow Wing) county board meeting show that our board members do not care or believe in preserving any of our remaining farmland, even with a signed petition from 12 people against dividing 35 acres of precious farmland, even with only three board members voting.

High water problems We are writing as concerned lake residents of Cass County. For the last 28 years our family has enjoyed the beauty, peace and quiet that lakeside living offers on a small lake.

The "high water, no wake" alert put out by the Cass County Sheriff Department had no effect on high power wake board and ski boats this past week. And while Crow Wing County didn't put out an alert, the sheriff put out a request for responsible boating.
