Happy and blessed 2014! Amen
I submitted a nice letter before Christmas to the Dispatch which, obviously, never was printed. I hope you all had the kind of Christmas the letter wished you all to have! The letter in it is a writing by an unknown author called “Mary’s Christmas Dream,” in which Jesus’ mother tells her husband a dream she had which is how Christmas is celebrated today. Like Virginia asked if there was a Santa, Mary was asking if there’s a Christ in Christmas. One like she says is, “I had the strangest feeling that if our son had gone to this celebration he would have been intruding.” It was a neat writing that was suppose to examine how we celebrate Christ’s birthday or not. I finished the letter with a quote by C.S. Lewis, “God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from himself because it is not there.” Amen.
I’ll stop now and see if this letter will be printed or if I’m blacklisted. I have some opinions but I’ll put them on hold for now.
God bless us all, especially through this bitterly cold we’ve experienced. God bless the children and the beasts and may all the school buses be on time and stay on the roads. Amen.
May we all have his blessings through 2014. Amen.
