Working for you
I have had the honor and privilege to represent our area for nearly seven years and throughout my time in the Minnesota House, many of you have heard me explain how I decide to vote on issues at the Capitol. I vote my conscience first, my constituents second, and my caucus third.
I work to do the best I can to help our state and our communities, and offer struggling Minnesotans a hand up and a more positive future for Minnesota. I’m proud of my work to help thousands of Minnesotans over the last seven years. Everyone won’t always agree with my decisions, but I’ve been dedicated to serving our communities and have always been respectful and listened to all sides of an issue.
While it’s easy to focus on the controversy and negative politics at the Legislature, we accomplished a lot on behalf of the people of Minnesota. Initiatives like free all-day kindergarten, early childhood scholarships, frozen college tuition, increased funding for nursing homes, and increased Homestead Credit Refunds and Renter’s Credits will help Minnesotans in our area and across the state. Job creation measures like the Minnesota Investment Fund, Unemployment Insurance Tax Cut, and Enterprise Minnesota will boost our economy and strengthen our continuing economic recovery.
As long as I have the pleasure to serve as your State Representative, I’m going to continue working as hard as I can for you. You’ll know where I stand and I’ll continue to walk the walk, and not just talk the talk.
