I read or hear that term a lot. I wonder what it means. So many have power they should not be allowed to have. They want us to stay at poverty level wages and they do not want universal health care. They want those in poverty to stay in poverty. To me and maybe I am ignorant that seems completely anti-American. Yes, there is free enterprise and that is a great then when the playing field is level. However, many of those with great enterprise choose to become those of great wealth and the rest of us are to be damned if we want a living wage or health care. This is not a Democrat or Republican problem.
This is a problem for all Americans regardless of political party choice.
I do not believe unions are perfect, but before a decision is made to dismantle and destroy unions one must review current history to note what deregulation has cost Americans. What private defense has cost Americans and what health care has cost Americans. Obama did not destroy health care. It started with corporate health care greed and pharmaceutical company greed.
Ted Kennedy tried to set in motion a health care plan. He died before he could finish it. Obama has tried to bring health care to the people. Republicans gutted it. Please study the legislation. Do not rely on the talking heads like Glenn Beck and other news channels to tell you the truth.
We need to move forward together and look at what we have in common. We all know there will always be those of great wealth and does that mean the rest of us should live in poverty? There is no social change fairy. There is only change made by the hands of individuals.
