Another letter where the writer wants everyone to believe that one person/one political party is to blame for all of the problem(s) the writer is making an issue of.
In this case, Carol Roy points her finger at Obama/Democrats.
She says: When government is run like a business, they would never think of spending money they do not have. Hence we are now looking at a national debt of over $17 trillion that our children’s children, will never be able to pay off because of excessive spending.
Yet, for some strange reason, she fails to mention that George W. Bush and the Republicans didn’t run government like a business. And they were spending money left and right that they did not have, primarily to start and fund two unnecessary, prolonged wars. Then add to that the price of the massive Bush tax cuts, which had the immediate effect of increasing the national debt. So between the wars and the tax cuts, many trillions of dollars were added to the national debt under Bush’s watch, which our children’s children will never be able to pay off because of excessive spending.
The reality is that both administrations have contributed to the problems.
For her to point the finger of blame only on the Democrats while ignoring the same transgressions by the Republicans is a perfect example of the definition of what it is to be a hypocrite.
