Tax hiker

Just a few weeks ago, Rep. Joe Radinovich said that middle class families could adjust their spending habits by shopping at Kohl’s instead of Macy’s should a sales tax on clothing go into effect.

Rep. Radinovich’s statement may have left you wondering where he stands on

Gov. Dayton’s multi-billion dollar tax increase proposal.

Well, wonder no more. On Feb. 20, Rep. Radinovich voted in favor of raising taxes by $3.7 billion, a move that will impact EVERY taxpaying Minnesotan, from the richest of the rich to the poorest of the poor.

Last session, lawmakers turned a $5 billion deficit into a $2 billion surplus without raising anyone’s taxes. Clearly, Rep. Radinovich does not admire fiscal responsibility and thinks you need to pay more to expand state government.

Hardworking Minnesotans need to stand up and take action. Let Rep. Radinovich know his vote to raise your taxes and cause you permanent financial hardship is the wrong approach.

Rep. Greg Davids
