The question is why? Why would Guy Green think that one single person could get you fired from a job? If Mr. Green was being truthful and fair with his radio spot then he would have not been fired. There is much more to this; we only hear what Mr. Green wants us to know. Here is what I know. I know that the management of 3Wi has said that they did not lose any business. There were “zero” advertisers that took their ads off of 3Wi because of the “Speakeasy” show. I know that Alderman Scheeler only pulled his live ad for three weeks. I also know the “ads in question” were a measly $50 a week and Alderman Scheeler has chosen to pay 3WI for the time he did not air. So we know that the radio station was not hurt financially. So for $50 per week do you actually think that Mr. Green would be pulled off the air. I know that Mr. Green did not have a contract in the last nine months for the show and he did not even have to pay the station for his “Speakeasy spot.” I would just like everyone to realize that Mr. Green brought this on himself. Let’s stop feeling sorry for him. He is responsible for his own actions. Seriously.

This letter is suspious as it corresponds nicely with the so-called interview with Scheeler in another section of this paper.
I commented on that article that this town needs someone to shake up the status quo, the "good ole boys" network.
Some of the same people complaining about Guy also complain about the "good ole boys".
I don't think anyone or many feel sorry for Guy. I don't even know him or hardly heard his show but, I think he can handle
this.

...about what happened leading up to Guy Green being removed from the air. When Lon Schmidt covered this story the day following Guy's removal he made it clear that ONE business did pull its ads. Now Scheeler and 3Wi want us to believe he didn't pull his ads because he reinstated his ads after he got his way? Sorry, but some skeletons aren't that easy to bury. There's a trail of evidence that suggests that Scheeler and 3Wi are both lying about the ad pulling. If they lie about this, how can you trust them on anything?

When I read what the have to say here, I said to myself, I have to way in on this.
If the radio program don't like the talk on the talk radio, and their aren't no advertisers, then they should pull that off the air. We all is sick of the talk radio anyhoo. Why can't more radio stations play some Ray conniff? What ever happened to the Lettermen? Many of us would rather hear some nice music.
And then the advertiser Gary Scheeler is gonna pull his advertising? Well it's no surprise that the city council uses there influence to affect there private business. Chip borgernhaugen used his influence on council to get pull tabs into his kid's restaurant. Worse yet he channeled public funds into his failed Internet business without blinking an eye. That was criminal and he should have been indickted but instead they name him man of the year! Haha!
people you need to understand there ain't no difference between Scheeler and Borgenhaugen from Obama or slick Willy or any of the rest of them. Democrat, republican, president, senator, small town city council. At every level they are all liars and thieves. Using their position on city council to promote their financial agenda. Embroiled in petty disputes that wastes public resources. Worst of all the brainerd city council reflects poorly on crow wing county. For a region already economically depressed desperately in need of some creative leadership, this council is an embarrassment, a black eye on the region, and a public laughingstock. It's shameful and disgusting. The whole thing should be shut down.
