Gun grabbers in St. Paul
Now that the hearings on “gun-safety” are underway in St. Paul I strongly suggest all law-abiding citizens in Minnesota take a long, hard look at the insane proposals coming out of these hearings.
So far we have anti-gun legislators proposing everything from allowing sheriffs to deny law-abiding citizens their right to obtain a permit to carry without the burden of proof (HF 240), to discriminating against permit-to-carry holders with higher penalties for trespassing statutes (HF 239).
We have legislators in St. Paul that actually think it will make you safer if they confiscate or destroy legally owned guns (HF 241), or make us surrender all magazines with a capacity higher than 10 rounds (HF 242) or 7 rounds (HF 243).
There are nearly 113,000 law-abiding citizens of Minnesota with permits-to-carry, and many, many more who legally own guns.
We need to make our voices heard. Call your legislator and demand that they respect and fight for your rights against gun-grabbing politicians that refuse to acknowledge the simple truth that we (law-abiding gun owners) are NOT the problem. Tell them to stop the ideological smear campaign and respect our rights. After all, gun owners vote.

Gungrabbing? We ask car owners to register their autos. I don't hear of many law -abiding car owners who find their car "grabbed" by the government. What makes you think that registering firearms will lead to them being "grabbed?"
Go to Mn House of Representatives.com
Look at HF 237 through HF 244, shadrack.
Some of those bill would give people until Sept. to remove guns from the state, give them to the police for free(confiscate or grabbed) or destroy them yourself. Or become a felon and go to prison.
Pull your head out of the sand.

You said; "What makes you think that registering firearms will lead to them being grabbed". I can't speak for others, but what leads me to beleive registration leads to confiscation is history. The USSR, China, Cuba, Cambodia, Nazi Germany,Vietnam, and Turkey all required registration which lead to confiscation. Ironically, all of those nations also slaughtered millions of thier own people after they were unarmed. Hopefully Great Britian and Austrialia can avoid genocide now that they are disarmed, but history is against them. A better question would be what makes you think that registration won't lead to confiscation?
Voting
Mr. Lund says that gun owners vote. That's true.
Well, non-gun owners vote also, and they outnumber the gun owners.
operating with incomplete information
Dark Archer, I think you are operating on incomplete information. My understanding is that the Nazi German government did not confiscate all guns. I would also suggest that the countries you list did not govern with the democratic principles of our government here in the United States. So, this indicates some holes in your deductive reasoning. I stand by my first statement.
OK, and does that mean
that those bills don't propose what they say, shadrack?
And Brian, I think you are very wrong about that.

You are correct about Nazi Germany. Only Nazi party members could have guns. I am curious about the democratic principles you speak of. Would those be the principles that allowed slavery, allowed the slaughter of Native American men, women, and children including killing them by handing out blankets infected with small pox? Did those same principles allow internment of Japanese Americans during WWII, or infecting black airmen with syphlus (sp?) in Tuskegee, AL? Were those same principles on display at Kent State, Ruby Ridge, and Waco? I think our government has a less than sterling track record over the last 200 plus years of displaying our democratic principles. Do you think that track record would have been better if the people were not armed? You didn't answer my question in your reply, but I'll infer that you don't think registration will lead to confiscation because of our nations's democratic principles. Is that right? Maybe you are just o.k. with confiscation. If you are, just say it, the truth will set you free!
Fair n Balanced
I happened to check three different websites, and all three said the same thing - that 41.7% of Minnesotans owned guns, and 58.3% did not.
I think I'm very right about that.
brian, don't confuse fnb with
brian, don't confuse fnb with facts.

Thanks for the advice.
There are plenty of people out there who create fairy tales and make up their own "facts" in order to push their agenda.
They spout lies, misinformation, and nonsense in order to reel gullible people into their fantasy world.

How would they know who owns what in M.N.?
Every one in my family owns at least 2 guns including my 2 year old. There is no record of 9o% of the guns.SO HOW DO THOSE WEBSITES GET THEIR INFO.?
Pickle,
They conduct surveys.
brian3785
real MN. people don't have time or are stupid enough to tell some stranger who calls you and ask what you keep in you're house. That's the problem Brian you people have no common sense. You believe in what ever Ed tells you or his people.
brian3785
Have you ever thought about who does surveys they cost money.Who pays for them and WHY. I saw a web site that did a survey and found out most Demo.,Libs. are mentally challenged, or stupid.
