Just as a building set on a cracked foundation will eventually fall down, a society whose foundation is attacked will surely break down also. American society has grown to be strong and prosperous because it is secured by a foundation made up of traditional marriage, Bible-believing churches, and constitutional government. Today we see all these of these foundational institutions under attack, and we are experiencing the accompanying social problems: Loss of individual liberty, increasing poverty, broken homes, mushrooming government spending and power, and crushing debt. I am worried about our future. What can one person do?
Here are my personal steps. I encourage all to think carefully and act decisively at this critical time.
1. Pray, humbling myself before God, realizing my need of His help.
2. Support leaders who act to strengthen our country’s foundations.
3. Vote yes on the marriage amendment. This is not the time to experiment with the definition of marriage. 3000+ years of history speaks for itself.
