I recently received a Taylor Stevenson for senate District 10 flyer in which he states that he is a teacher in the Brainerd School District.

Upon checking Stevenson’s credentials on the Minnesota Department of Education website I found that he is teaching on a limited short call subtitute certificate.

That is a far cry from being a teacher as he claims!

On further checking his degree is in government, philosophy and German, not education at all.

Our teachers work hard for their education degrees and put in countless hours of continuing education to keep their licensure current. Taylor Stevenson may substitute once in awhile, but he is definitely not a teacher as he claims.
