Write-in Strand 10B
I have watched and listened to the Minnesota House 10B debates in the last few weeks and was dismayed to hear Joe Radinovich, a Democrat, agrees with most everything Dale Lueck, a Republican, had to say.
I didn’t vote for Joe in the primary, so he could turn around after he won and say whatever he thinks independent voters want to hear, and take our hardcore Democratic votes for granted.
In the primary Joe Radinovich said he would stand up for the Democratic platform and now that he has gotten the letter D next to his name on the ballot, he has decided to try to pander to the Republican voters by not saying things he thinks will be unpopular: Climate change, anti-marriage amendment , and Increased gun control.
I, for one, do not want to wait see which Joe we will get if he is elected. I will be writing in David Strand on my ballot and I encourage all true Democrats to do the same.
In his articles in the Aitkin Age, which you should all read, he faces off against Tom Emmer. He publicly stands up for all the principles that make me a Democrat. He would be the best candidate for office because of his courage, competence, and unwavering support of democratic principles. He may not win but we can send a strong message to Joe Radinovich that he can’t take our votes for granted.

Actually, in watching the debates, I thought that it was Dale Lueck who was agreeing with pretty much everything Joe Radinovich had to say.
As far as your claims of pandering to the GOP to get their votes, I don't think that is the basis for Joe's belief's at all. I find him to be an intelligent, logical thinker and open minded.
His thoughts on gun control have evolved because he has been brought up as an outdoorsman and a hunter. I was not aware that enjoying hunting was strictly a GOP past time. I don't think he realized that either. I guess all democrats need to turn in their hunting rifles? That's just silly.
Joe's viewpoints and ideals most closely resemble a liberal viewpoint (therefore aligning more with the DFL). Education is important, taking care of less fortunate is important, taking care of our resources is important, taking care of the community is important... However, that doesn't mean his every thought has to be a DFL talking point.
I, for one, don't want someone who clings to 100% party line thinking at all costs. It would make me think they had no ability to research on their own.
As for the marriage amendment, I didn't hear him actually answer that question, and for that, I'm glad. He did say he was raised as a Catholic and has Catholic values, but he also doesn't think a Constitutional Amendment is the correct way to address this question. This leaves him to vote "YES" based on his Catholic faith, or "NO" based on his belief that this should not be on the ballot in the form of a Constitutional Amendment. He never said which vote he was going to cast. And how he votes on this question is a personal matter, just as how you vote on this question is a personal matter. No one has asked you to stand up and declare what votes you are making publicly. If that was standard procedure, we wouldn't use anonymous ballets at the polls. I don't think we should be asking our candidates how they will vote on the Constitutional Amendments. Once on the ballot, it is a private matter. We should be asking our candidates IF they would vote to put more Amendments on the ballot or if they think moral/ethical/religious issues should be handled another way.
I'm sorry that you won't be voting for Joe. But the same qualities you don't like are the ones that make me think he will do a good job for us. Happy voting! The most important thing is that we all get out and vote.
Another fake Democrat
The message needs to be sent to Joe's Republican opponent. Ringing in a third party only helps his opponent.
Will Republican Chicanery Ever Stop??????
Newsflash!!! Newsflash!!!!! Lying Liar caught in act. The guy that wrote this letter lives in Minnetonka not Hill City and could not vote for anyone in the 10B primary!!!!!!!! So why would he write a letter like this? Me thinks he must be some republican operative trying to mess with the voters of 10B!!!!! I am shocked I tell you! Shocked!
Rolf is correct!
Rino lives in Duluth
dutchman lives in White Bear Lake, twilight/southie claims to live in Emily and votes there and down in EdenPrarie or something, I'm sure Oberstar votes in Minnesota even though he hasn't lived here for decades. Should I go on? People like you will probably vote several times in two weeks so give us all a break from your faked indignation.

GOLD STAR!!
Dave Strand is a good guy,
Dave Strand is a good guy, but he doesn't want the office. His wife is Joe's campaign manager. Both Dave and Cordy support Joe's candidacy enthusiastically.
Stephen Sundquist lives in Minnetonka
He did not vote in the primary for Joe Radinovich and actually lives in the twin Cities. He is also a GOP Staffer! It is amazing what lengths Dale Lueck and his GOP staffer liars will go to in order to get a vote. Dale also pulls up his opponents yard signs. Joe Radinovich has operated an ethical, honest campaign and he is the one who deserves your vote.
This paper should check out their writers.
so much for sundquist's
so much for sundquist's "democratic principles".
Who cares?
It is what it is. Staffer lied and he is working for Dale Lueck.

Ask the Brainderd Dispatch and the Aitkin paper to supply the proof that this was a false letter from the GOP staffer.

Mike O'Rourke says Sundquist is a paid staff member.
of Lueck. See Mike O' Rourke's twitter feed below.
Maybe the letter will be deleted.
Is that voter fraud...impersonating a voter? Do you think he votes twice? Those dang GOP.

GOP staffer leaves post after misrepresenting himself as DFLer in letter to editor on House 10B race between Dale Lueck and Joe Radinovich.

I have a question, Sarah: Are we allowed to know (the the sake
of better understanding criteria/threshold for "banishment") why Mmpi29 was banished? Or, is that confidential? Thank you.
This article provides a bit more insight into Sundquist's
letter and his identity: "Minnesota DFL accuses Republican staffer of posing as a Democrat in letters to editor"

Dishonesty in Lueck's Campaign
I do not believe this 24 year old GOP staffer thought this up on his own. Dale Lueck is ultimately responsible.
Thanks, bubba yumbo.
So the Pioneer Press beat the Dispatch to the story? I hope it is in tomorrow's Dispatch.
What Sundquist has attempted to do should be illegal as it is surely immoral.
Seems like it is the same nasty trick they tried in Wisconsin during the recall elections: running extra people to divide the Democratic vote. So, the dishonesty has been a Republican pattern in both states. Is that from the Karl Rove playbook?
We will remember in November!
Go, Joe!
The buck stops with Lueck
He has revealed his character. I expect an apology to Joe and to us.

Sorry that's classified. ;)

If that is true, southie
Obama's done. You libs sure cherry pick what's bad and Dale had nothing to do with that.
Go hug your thugs!
