I was in Hibbing on Wednesday afternoon and paid $3.49 for regular unleaded gasoline. My wife had to go to St.Cloud this morning for work related business. She called me and said gas was $3.46 at several stations along the way, and she saw one where regular unleaded was $3.43 a gallon. Hmmmm, why is Brainerd higher? Transportaion costs? I think if that is the case then it cost one heck of a lot to haul a tanker full of fuel 60 more miles to Brainerd, rather than places like Royalton and St. Cloud! How many gallons does a tanker truck haul? Maybe some gas station owners will chime in here and explain why we are paying so much more here in Brainerd. Explain it please so we understand.
Keep promoting the tourist industry. Every teacher in the state comes here for our great tourist industry during MEA. How do you think they are going to get home. They have to have gas. It's a guarantee to our local gas dealers. Maybe if we had some industry around here it would make a difference. When you live by the tourist, you pay by the tourist. It's a fact of life.
Mark Dayton is going to be at the Nisswa American Legion tomorrow evening. Why don't you ask him. He could always take money from the Veterans and use it to buy down our gas prices.
The free market charges what the market will bear. I have a hard time believing that most people care when I see all the gas guzzlers on the highway and watch people leave them idle as if gas was free.

They call it....
...free-market capitalism. If you want cheap gas, move to Venezuela. The climate's better and socialized gas sells for 12 cent a gallon.
Even more Outrageous ...
... is the fact that gas prices have dropped more than the national average in 8 of the 11 swing states !! Why am I not surprised.

fishhead
some vehicles use less gas idling than shutting them off and restarting them. Depends on how long they idle.
the president
HAS NOTHING to do with gas prices ( UNLESS HE'S A REPUBLICAN ) ( we all know he does)
