Vote no and no
The progress of American history can be marked by the slow but consistent march towards equal and fair treatment of all citizens. Every step of that march has made us a better people.
For gay Americans, as for women, minorities, interracial couples, and disabled Americans, today is the best day ever to be an American. Tomorrow will be even better.
The question is simply the speed with which we remove remaining institutional discrimination. This proposed constitutional amendment looks longingly backwards to the days of shame and judgment for gays. Voting it down would have been impossible even 5 years ago, but the march continues. Minnesota has a proud history of national leadership in matters of civil rights, and today, I believe Minnesota will be the first state to vote down this amendment.
In Minnesota, we have an excellent and fair voting system that promotes high levels of participation. This, along with an educated and involved population, results in Minnesota having the highest voter turnout in the nation. This is something to be proud of!
The voter I.D. amendment will change that.
Why pay $33 million of our state and local tax dollars in the first year alone, to fix what currently works exceptionally well? I could think of better purposes for that money!
Even if you are unsure about the moral questions behind voter I.D. and gay marriage, there is another important reason to vote no, no.
Look, we are talking about our Constitution here. You know, that document that exists, in large part, to ensure our liberties? Limiting our civil rights and access to voting is not what our Constitution is for.
Minnesota rocks! Let’s show the rest of the nation why!
Vote no, no!

Really don't understand Sara? First of all, how does voter ID discriminate against gays? What?? Think you have things all mixed up!
On voter ID, You have to have an ID for EVERYTHING! You can't get a library card without an ID. Is that discriminating against the elderly and in your words the gays? How about for some medicines? Need ID! Do any of these people drink alcohol or smoke? NEED ID! Do they have a credit card? NEED ID! Drive? NEED ID!
By the way, you can get a FREE non-driving ID card for EVERYONE that is a citizen! How about that!
OH, if you are 55 or older that ID card never expires! How about that!
Sara dear, what is so wrong with showing an ID for something so important as voting? We show it for everything else! If for some strange reason a citizen does not have an ID they can get one, FOR FREE! They need it to get a book at the library anyway! So actually, we are helping those few people out by encouraging them to get an ID. VOTE YES SARA!
VOTE YES! IT IS MORALLY, THE RIGHT THING TO DO!
No and Yes
Vote No to limiting 2 people in love can marry. Vote yes to voter ID. Stop voter fraud in Minnesota. Other states laugh at how easy it is to cheat on voting in Minnesota. My goodness, everyone has to show a picture ID when they fly. We just want to make sure you are who you say you are. Thats it!
Republican insider admits amendment is a fraud
Michael Brodcorp (sp) who played a role in the political strategy is now admitting that the marriage amendment's only purpose is to get republicans voters to vote.
As if we didn't know that already. LOL!!!!
Nothing is for free in the voter restriction amendment.
Keeping it green, nothing is for free in the voter restriction amendment. People without government issued photo ID will need to go through several steps to get it. They have to purchase a birth certificate. They may have to purchase a copy of their marriage certificate. They may have to travel to obscure locations to attain these documents. That reflects costs.
In addition, the state will spend millions of dollars implementing the amendment. And they do this in a time when we've many better ways to use state revenue.
Vote no.
Ha ha ha ha!
You mean that ADULTERER who is suing the government? And here I thought he was one of the great defenders of family values! LOL!
He would be
someone fish would quote though.
Yes, that one, GOP supporters.
Your spokesperson's lover. The amendment's main strategist.
Feel used...but in a good way, right?
Don't get mad at us for this negative publicity three weeks before the election.
That would be displacement.
You jumped on board with a chance to bully and hate. How is that working for you? I see a whole lot more orange signs on the roads and lawns lately!

M.Brodkorp Former MN GOP Asst. Chairman went on to say...
That since Amy K. in the US Senate race ( not to be confused with Amy Koch the former GOP state senate leader /former Brodkorp squeeze) is untouchable the only way the MN Republicon" party" was going to get any of their cult motivated to get out an vote was to champion amendments the "party " felt would get their followers fired up.
WOW , even the MN GOP " party" leaders think there is one of their own born every minute.
Mr Brodkorp went on to say " Im voting NO on these amendments proposed as a ploy to encourage turnout"
Circus Peanuts Anyone ?
Easy Solution...Additional Vote NOs...In NOvember 2012...
Warren Limmer...
Chief Author of the Amendment...Vote NO for his return to the Minnesota Senate...

Paul Gazelka...
Champion of the Amendment...Vote NO for his return to the Minnesota Senate...

Is Voting A Need?

Didn't you forget that other conservative logic of also boarding a plane? Conservatives do have compelling logic, don't they?
So, getting a library card, a credit credit, a driver's license and flying are RIGHTS? Who knew!
Ha ha ha ha!
You mean that republican't ADULTERER who is suing the government? And here I thought he was one of the great defenders of family values! LOL!
Where has it ever been said
Where has it ever been said or written that this guy who worked for Repubicans was a great defenders of family values?
I think that guy just had a job, but I admit that I don't know for sure what the circumstances were. Hey, maybe he was a plant.
Besides that, it seems some of these writers are writing in every week on the same subject. I guess that is ok, but they aren't going to change anyone's mind.
This is sad
Seriously... In the beginning of all of this I might have been swayed to change my thoughts on how I vote... How I vote is my own choice and I personally think I should keep it to myself.. But then so should you... Does all this vote this way or vote that way really affect the way you are going to vote.?
All its done for me is reinforce my initial thought on the subjects.
Say, "keepingitgreen"
This is Sarah, the author of the article. If you are going to use my name over and over, as if you know me, spell it right. Thanks.

Which of these:
" which set of pissants get to rub which other set of piassants' noses in something."
do you belong to almighty one?
that was an arrogant lowlife thing to say.
Get a life yourself because I have a better one
than you. Mine isn't a lie. I was the one stooping and thought I should just to make sure that others weren't fooled by another charlaton making up lies. You have proven your ability at that on here over the years and I hope you sleep well tonight knowing that I have a wonderful life and other than the facade you present, I wish you the same.
Time to zip it
The time has come to shut our pie holes on 11/6 ballot questions; why? because no one is listening. Minds are made up on every choice from POTUS to yes/no. Give it a rest, take deep breaths, move on to things in which you can actually make a difference.
Civil discourse has become civil disrespect - enough.
