Oxymoron
Defination of a “Oxymoron” — having a “vote yes” for marriage sign and a “Ward” sign in your front yard.
Go online, type in John Ward – Marriage Amendment and see how he is “championing” the “vote no” group (or against traditional marriage).
Be informed, don’t take my word for it – hear it from his own mouth, in front of the Minnesota House.
Go Ward?

and my problem with the Republican party. If you don't vote according to the party plan, the chair of the party will chastise you in a letter to the editor.
Who are these people? As a previous lifelong Republican voter, these are the kinds of things that turned me and my parents (also lifelong Republican voters) against the party.
Free speech
must be a partisan issue to Doug.
I like John Ward and will
I like John Ward and will vote for him. I oppose the marriage amendment, but I still like John Ward. Democrats are allowed to think (and vote) their conscience.
shad
dems are allowed to think??? Talk about a Oxymoron!!!
Pdnet Are you still on probation???
Doug Kern is the OxyMoron
Mr. Kern does not believe that a voter can like most, not all, the positions of a candidate and still vote for them. Maybe Mr. Ward has taken other positions that this voter liked? Is that possible Mr. Kern?
This Marriage Amendment is an abomination, an unnecessary change to our Constitution and applaud Mr. Ward's courageous and thoughtful position.
Forget oxy, just plain moron
Doug Kern is a prime example of whats wrong with politics. If we had to vote solely on what a "party"thinks, then why do we vote all these different people in and give them all these jobs. Its because this country should NOT be 100% divided by party lines. Its bad enough the right's want the Mittster to think for us, but all officials, now its getting silly. I believe in some things on both sides of the fence too. Very liberal on some views, especially those where people want to take freedoms away from others, and then have the audacity to hide behind the bible to do it. I also believe in many republican views, such as the gun laws for example. I don't consider myself a republican or democrat, and I think both parties need to grow the hell up. I applaud John Ward for standing up with what he believes in, and trying to get people like him to vote for him, even if it is against the traditional party lines. Good for you John, at least you're being honest about what you are running for and what things you will do for us.
